The Foundations: 1947 and Little Italy

 

Our story begins in 1947, when our founder, Rocco Galati, established the business. Starting with just a small van, Rocco began providing essential plumbing and contracting services to local businesses and neighbors in the heart of Toronto's Little Italy. His dedication to hard work and community service quickly earned a trusted reputation.

 

Growth and Government Contracting

 

The second generation was led by Rocco's sons, Gus and Nick Galati, who took the reins and propelled the company into the realm of major civil and government projects. Under their leadership, R Galati Contracting became a trusted partner for significant public-sector work, including contracts for the City of Toronto and landmark projects like Ontario Place. This marked the beginning of our long-standing specialization in underground services, sewer, and watermain infrastructure.

 

The Present Day: Full-Service Contracting

Today, the company continues its successful trajectory under the active leadership of the third generation, Rocky Galati, who runs the business alongside his uncle, Nick Galati. The commitment to infrastructure excellence remains central, with second-generation leader Gus Galati overseeing the business operations and contributing his decades of invaluable experience.
